Business Development Summit at Chamarajanagar and Raichur along with Tripartite Meet of Central & State Government to be held in April 2015

New Delhi, Feb 11, 2015: A high power delegation of FKCCI Office Bearers & Officials led by Sri S. Sampathraman, President, FKCCI met Sri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka today and discussed various Industry related issues to the conduct of Business Development Summit at Chamarajanagar District and Raichur District.

The Business Development Summit at Chamarajanagar proposes to take forward the Expression of Interest worth over Rs.12,000 Crores signed at Coimbatore Road Show whereby all the Investors and Developers could be invited for finalizing the Investment Proposals.

The Raichur Business Development Summit is planned for the development of Northern Karnataka region comprising of Raichur, Bidar, Gulbarga and Koppal. The Industries with special focus on edible oil, seed processing, oil seed crushing, cotton ginning and processing, spinning and weaving, textile printing and dying, food grain processing for value addition, engineering goods manufacturing and servicing and educational service will be the main segments proposed in the Summit.

The Tripartite Meet is proposed to be held in Bangalore to facilitate Investment and Export Promotion in Karnataka. It will address issues related to Infrastructure for the growth of industries in Karnataka involving Union, State Government and Industries, Industrial Bodies and the uncleared Mega Projects sanctioned to the State conducted under the nodal agency of FKCCI. The Hon’ble Chief Minister will chair these proposed Meets.

Sri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister, assured of his commitment for the proposed Business Summit and the Tripartite Meet which will be held in the month of April 2015. The Chief Minister also assured the Members of FKCCI for his support for the abolishing of Trade License by amending the necessary provisions of the Acts and Rules. He also assured Government support for the construction of Centenary Building/Auditorium proposed by FKCCI as well as the support and assistance of Government for participating in the FKCCI’s Centenary Year Celebrations.

He approved the request of FKCCI for the sanction of 2 acres of land for MSME sector on lease cum sale basis as done similarly in the neighbouring states.CCI Newswire
