Mumbai, April 01, 2015Khushi Pediatric therapy centre has organised a special run- Cause-a-thon 2015, a 7-kilometer and 1-kilometre marathon to raise awareness on Autism.
DATE: April 5th, 2015
VENUE: Taj Land’s End, Bandra.
TIME: 6.30 a.m
Bank of India and Striders have come together to support this cause.
The event is open to all and people can sign up for spot registrations on April 5, 2015 by 5:00 am.
A step initiated by an NGO, in 2013. Cause-a-thon has been well received by celebrities, media and the people of Mumbai. Celebrities like Shaan, Nawaz Modi Singhania spoke for the cause; while organisations like Being Human (an NGO run by Salman Khan). It had over 325 participants in 2013 and about 505 runners in 2014.
This year kids with Autism and other children with special needs conducting the event also. The kids have taken up the responsibility of escorting guests and conducting the event through compering and giving away medals to the winners and refreshments to all participants. That’s not all, this year Khushi has registered kids with Autism and children with special needs to run with other participants in Cause-a-thon 2015. This is small effort by Khushi towards inclusion of kids in our society.
Singer Shaan will be present to flag off the race this year. Mrs India 2015, Priyanka Goyal will be conducting the warm up before the race for all runners.
