Many programmes have been organized on this front for the promotion of TPM.  We are pleased inform you that CII Puducherry is organizing a 2-Day Workshop on Planned Maintenance – Achieving Zero Breakdown on 20 & 21 December 2018 at Hotel Atithi, Puducherry.

Overview:

Planned Maintenance is the third pillar of TPM and aims to achieve zero breakdowns. It follows a structured approach to establish a management system that extends the equipment reliability at optimum cost.

In order to improve the availability of machines / equipment for production and achieve qualitative production, the machines/equipment’s are to be kept in “as desired condition” Maintenance division with the help of operations division can ensure this condition. The main objective of maintenance division is to ensure the reliability of machines / equipment’s and maintainability of the same.

Objective

The workshop is designed to help industries for achieving the above objective detailing out the approach and methodology. The following aspects, which improve the functions of maintenance division, will be focused in this workshop.

Mr Scaria K K,  Counsellor -TPM Club of India ,  Confederation of Indian Industry

He is an expert in Production Management, TPM implementation, Quality System implementation, IR and Administration with more than 20 years exposure in process industry. He is a keen planner and strategist with expertise in managing operations with focus on profitability by ensuring optimal utilization of resources.  He has got profound  skills  at inspecting and evaluating the quality system of manufacturing  units and ensured  cost reduction by implementing new techniques and worked on productivity improvement.

He has managed machine assignments and dispatch priorities ensuring optimal level of inventories.  He has also Formulated optimal policies for  preventive, scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the machines. He has faced 2 JIPM Audits during his tenure in MRF Limited and is well versed with the JIPM Audit methodology.

He is supporting the following companies for TPM implementation – Indian oil Corporation, Durgapur Steel Plant, ESSAE Digitronics, OMAX, ALKRAFT, Wires & Fabriks, Amalgamation Repco, Ashok Iron Works, KEC Cables, SAI packaging and Printetrs, Surin Auto. He is also well versed with all  the 8  pillars of  TPM  and has hand on experience on implementing those pillars.
