Importance of NTSE for students
· It is a national level competitive examination, hence students gets to compete with the best talents PAN India. It’s an important milestone for a serious aspirant planning to pursue a career in science domain.
· It is big recognition that a student gets, having cleared both the stages of NTSE.
· Students are entitled for scholarships till they finish their studies. May not be a substantial amount; however it is extremely prestigious sponsored by the Government body and also the entire exercise is a huge confidence booster.
· Lot of times a student doing exceeding well in class/school fail to perform at the competitive exam level. Hence for such students NTSE is a kind of “Reality Check” – relieves them from living under an illusion “That I am good”. They can learn from their weakness and take corrective steps over 2 years time (ie while in class XI & XII) so that they emerge as winners in competitive exams after class XII.
· If a child wants to go aboard (esp US or UK) for higher education then an NTSE rank adds to the overall credential of a student, immensely. Students tend to earn credits as a part of application profiling process.
· NTSE exam structure is such that it enables a student to develop Intelligent Quotient (IQ) & Mental Ability (MA). Students develop the habit of solving questions by application of concepts. It is probably the only exam for school students instilling these attributes which goes a long way for a student in her/is career as most of the important competitive exams after Class XII – tests a student on her/is ability to solve questions based on Logic, Reasoning & analytical approach.
