Mr. K. Shiva Shamugam, President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & industry congratulated the people of Hyderabad Karnataka Region for getting special status under Article 371. He said that the Constitution Amendment Bill would provide a special status to Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal & Bellary districts which would greatly help the region and those living there to develop fast with special grants. He said that passing the bill would help to provide reservation in education and employment for the people of Hyderabad Karnataka Region. This would hasten the economic development of the region with special focus on Infrastructure, he said.
Mr. Shiva Shanmugam appreciated the efforts of Yadgir, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal & Bellary districts and especially Hyderabad Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Gulbarga for their long fight for the special status for the region.
