The Hon’ble Chief Minister is extremely happy to welcome the High Power Delegation from Yunnan Province, Republic of China, to invest in Karnataka. The Delegation comprises of the President of China Development Bank in Yunnan Province and other Senior Bureaucrats, Bankers, who would be visiting Bengaluru on Tuesday, 7th July, 2015 to inspect the actual location and approve the lending for the proposed Industrial Park. In view of his presence required in the ongoing sessions of the Karnataka Legislatures, Hon’ble Chief Minister has conveyed his best wishes and warm greetings to them today.
Mr.Liu Le, Director, Yunnan Sunpa Group of Companies, an anchor investor from Yunnan Province, today called on Smt.K.Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt., Commerce & Industries Department, and held discussions on the proposed investments in Karnataka. He conveyed that investments would be in various sectors including Tele-Medicine, Manufacturing of medical equipment and accessories, Solar Power Generation and Manufacturing of panels and Technology Research, etc.
Mr.Liu also mentioned about the potential for investments from Yunnan to Karnataka in sectors like Fertiliser, Agriculture, Floriculture and Food Processing.
Mrs.Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary, agreed `in principle’ for allotment of 100 acres of KIADB land in Vasanthnarasapura Industrial Area for setting up of Chinese Industrial Park. Sunpa Group of Companies would be bringing investments of around USD 1 Billion in this Industrial Park.
The Governor of Yunnan Province had paid a visit to Bengaluru during May 2014 and had expressed interest in investments in Karnataka by industries from Yunnan Province. He had also invited a FKCCI team to visit the Yunnan province. FKCCI team that included the President and Vice-President of FKCCI visited Yunnan Province twice during the past few months to attract investments.
As a result, a high level Chinese Delegation is now visiting Karnataka. Senior Officials of the Department of Industries and Commerce will be accompanying the Chinese Delegation to Vasanthnarasapura tomorrow.
The Government of Karnataka welcomes the investment proposals from Yunnan Province and will extend all possible support for the successful implementation of this Industrial Park. CCI Newswire
