New Delhi, Nov 14, 2014: There was talent galore when singing, dancing and other skills of underprivileged children came to fore during Children’s Day celebrations organized by Koenig Solutions at Shakupur Village today.

The Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of Offshore IT training company Koenig Solutions – rightfully christened Koenig Koshish, runs various projects in the area under which 1200+ school students from class V to XII are being provided free of cost tuition classes every day along with curriculum books. Also, Koenig provides Computer Vocational Training to 300+ youngsters, helping them secure a decent living since 2007. Koenig has won Microsoft Citizenship Award for these CSR Activities in 2009.

More than 300 underprivileged students participated in various competitions conducted during the Children’s Day function. Students were enthralled to take part in Drawing, Art-n-Craft, Essay Writing and other competitions.

The children also performed plays which sent out social messages on value of education and serving older people and treating them with dignity. A social play with “Swachh Bharat” message was appreciated by all the dignitaries present in the event. Students also demonstrated the importance of Yoga and meditation for healthy living.

“Children are the backbone of our society. Underprivileged children do not enjoy opportunities like other children do. It is not that they are not brilliant and lack talent. They too have hidden talents, but for want of right opportunities and resources their skills remain buried. At Koenig we have taken pledge to polish their skills and provide them a platform to nurture and showcase their talent,” said Rohit Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Koenig Solutions.

All the children were given gift hampers after the function. Koenig management, staff and visiting IT professionals from various countries who are here for certification and trainings attended the function with much zeal and enthusiasm. CCI Newswire
