New Delhi, March 04, 2016: Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management located in Dwarka celebrated its 21stFoundation Day on 23rd February, 2016 in the college campus. On this eve, Air Chief Marshal S.K Sareen, Former Indian Air Force Chief delivered lecture on ‘My Experiences in Management’. The event was presided by Anil Shastri, former Union Minister & Chairman, LBSIM.
Addressing an audience of eminent academicians and industry professionals, the Chief Guest of the occasion, former Air Chief Marshal S.K Sareen said, ‘students should focus primarily on studies while being part of an educational institution. That is their ‘Dharma’. It is a matter of concern that some of them raised anti-India slogans in the university campus.’
Anil Shastri, Chairman, LBSIM on the occasion stated, “while labeling any student, the media or educational institution or the government of the day need to be extremely cautious. Pre-judging students can jeopardize their career prospect and have a negative bearing on their impressionistic mind.”
On this Foundation Day, LBSIM honored its alumni for Corporate Excellence and the recipients of the award were, Vikas Tuteja- (Batch 1997-1999), who is the Vice President, HDFC Bank; Raman Walia- (Batch 1997-2000) is currently serving as Regional Head- ICICI Bank; Aparna Thandavan- (Batch 1998-2000) currently serves as the Director – Philips India Ltd., Puneet Wadhwa- (Batch 1998-2000) is working as Senior Associate Editor- Business Standard and Anurag Anand – (Batch 2000-2002) is currently serving as Head- Coca Cola University, Coca Cola India & South West Asia.
This award was introduced in the year 2013 and is organized on ‘Foundation’s Day’ every year. The awards are for Alumni to commemorate their success stories and their made towards the society, recognition of their own talents, spirit of entrepreneurship and other great achievements earned while scaling the heights they sit atop now.
