New Delhi, January 11, 2019: The International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) has announced a new-look executive board for 2020.

The move comes as the global trade body forecasts continued integration of holograms alongside other authentication and track and trace technologies will drive growth in the next 12 months, underpinning moves to support overt and covert protection strategies.

Rajan Thomas has been elected to oversee operations across Asia. Anton Goncharsky and Manoj Kochar are elected with responsibility for the Eastern Europe/FSA and CIS region, and ASPA (Authentication Solution Providers’ Association) in India, respectively.

Joanne Ogden will continue to represent the EU and EFTA region, while Brad Hilbert (America region) and Prof SeungHyun Lee (South Korea and Hologram Forum) remain on the board together with Alessio Pastorelli and Corinne Murcia Giudicelli.

Under chairman Dr Paul Dunn, the board will direct the IHMA’s work to advance holography as global threats continue to push demand for authentication and brand protection devices such as holograms.

The changes also come as the IHMA unveils a new mission statement that will see it expand the scope of current operations, embracing the widest range of commercial holographic activity.

This will see attracting new members involved in new application areas and working to promote increasing integration of holography with other technologies to offer added value integrated solutions.

Dr Paul Dunn said: “Innovation is pushing the boundaries of what holographic technology can achieve, reflecting that there is plenty of mileage in holography.

“I’m very much looking forward to the challenge of taking the IHMA forward and working with members and organisations to ensure it remains a strong advocate and resource for the industry in the future.”

The IHMA (www.ihma.org) is made up of 100 of the world’s leading hologram companies. Members include the leading producers and converters of holograms for banknote security, anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, packaging, graphics and other commercial applications around the world, and actively cooperate to maintain the highest professional, security and quality standards.
