Pune-based prominent brand consultancy Seagull Brand Launch Centre bagged the prestigious ‘Brand Consultancy for Innovative Businesses’ award at the 6th Annual Entrepreneur India Congress in New Delhi.

New Delhi, August 29, 2016: A prominent brand consultancy based out of Pune, Seagull Brand Launch Centre, won the ‘Brand Consultancy for Innovative Businesses’ award at the 6th Annual Entrepreneur Awards hosted at Hotel Pullman in the capital city.

The awards bring together inspiring entrepreneurs and astute investors with an aim to create new opportunities for investment, build new partnerships and collaboration avenues and highlight entrepreneurship as means to address some of the most intractable societal challenges. The ‘Brand Consultancy for Innovative Businesses’ award is handed to an enterprise which strives to solve the branding issues of innovative and fledgling businesses.

Sameer Desai, Chief Strategy Officer at Seagull Brand Launch Centre collected the award on behalf of the company. Speaking at the event, he addressed various points related to earlystage companies. “Marketing and Branding is always about improving consumer’s life. While working intensively with early-stage companies for the past couple of years, we have noticed that companies fail to perform despite having great products and great ideas. And they don’t fail because of the product but because of non-understanding or non-inclusion of the consumer in the discussion much earlier on,” he said while doling out insights.

Addressing the entrepreneurs in the crowd he continued, “People are at the centre of branding. You need to get the consumer earlier into the process, even when you are getting your idea or the product in place. Try and understand how are your consumers relating to it or what problem does your product solve in their lives.” Elucidating the point further, he discussed the examples of Uber and Patanjali and how their branding strategies revolved around their consumers.

Elaborating the concept of branding he said, “Selling is not Branding. Branding is not only about the company name, or the logo or the packaging either. Branding is so much more. It’s about the consumer experience. It’s about the feelings that the consumer gets when he hears the name of your brand.”
