B2B e-commerce website www.bestpricewholesale.co.in launched for members of Hyderabad and Lucknow Best Price Modern Wholesale Stores
Bangalore, July 05, 2014 : Wal-Mart India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., today launched its B2B e-commerce platform – www.bestpricewholesale.co.in – exclusively for members of Best Price Modern Wholesale stores in Hyderabad and Lucknow, providing them with a convenient online shopping opportunity. As a virtual store, the e-commerce platform provides a similar assortment of products, as well as special items to its members.
Announcing the launch, Krish Iyer, President and CEO, Wal-Mart India, said, “ I am very delighted to announce the launch of our B2B e-commerce platform for our members. The e-commerce platform will offer a number of conveniences: Members can navigate the virtual store and place orders at convenience as it is a 24/7 interactive site. In addition to the delivery at their premises, convenient payment solutions will help them make faster business decisions.
Prior to the launch, workshops with members were organized by Wal-Mart India team in the two cities (Hyderabad and Lucknow) city to generate awareness on this initiative and also to create better understanding about the website navigation, benefits and registration processes. Members turned out in huge numbers for the workshops and said that through this initiative, in addition to the benefits available at the Wal-Mart Best Price stores ( e.g. one stop shop, wide assortment, best quality merchandise at Every Day Low Prices, unmatched customer service etc), major benefits for them would be enhanced convenience and a huge saving in time and efforts.
Wal-Mart India’s cash & carry business is a B2B format and hence only registered members of the Best Price Modern Wholesale stores in these respective cities will be eligible to transact online. Eligible establishments (resellers, kirana shop owners, hotels, restaurants, caterers and offices and institutions) in the catchment areas can transact only after registering as members.
