New Delhi, December 19, 2018: Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with Government of Andhra Pradesh is organizing a Conference on Smart Cities with the theme “Smart & Sustainable Cities for the Future” on 29 January 2019 at Hotel Fortune Grand Ridge, Tirupati
As you are aware, only 30% of India’s population lives in urban areas. By 2030 it is expected to reach 40 %, approximately 600 million people are expected to live in urban region thereby contributing 70% of India’s GDP. Towards this, Government of India announced its intention to develop 100 Smart Cities thereby creating business opportunities, job opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the country.
CII’s National Mission on Smart Cities is a platform for interaction and information transfer for private companies and government bodies. CII National Mission on Smart Cities has signed several MoUs and has formed consortiums with private and government stakeholders. The Southern Region comprises of 26 smart cities out of 100.
Given this, CII-Southern Region in partnership with Government of Andhra Pradesh is organizing a Conference on Smart Cities with the theme “Smart & Sustainable Cities for the Future” on 29 January 2019 at Hotel Fortune Grand Ridge, Tirupati.
